Here is one of those places where you see the billboard and say I should go there one day. I really can't say a bad thing about it. If you love trains this is the place for you. Very educational tour. Also have a small auto museum and an air plane or two, but the main reason to go is to see the old trains. Quite impressive and reasonable. Looking for something to do.... check it out!!!!!

My son, who is 2 is obsessed with trains and this is definitely the place he wanted to go. He climbed on them, played in them, and had the time of his life. It was Thomas the Tank Engine times 100!! Then, they have an exploration center that's out of this world, where the kids make crafts. I think he liked this as much as the trains!!!

Although the museum has a little bit of all types of transportation, I found it focuses mainly on cars and trains. There was not a lot to be seen here, maybe a couple hours at most. Many of the exhibits were in disrepair when I was there. Some of the employees were informative and some did not seem to know much about the exhibits. Overall I would only recommend this if there were not much else to do.
PROS: Good for a change of pace
CONS: Exhibits in disrepair, staff not always helpful
