Daniel Boone Home & Village - (636) 798-2005

This place is free and a little interesting to see an old Missouri Grave site. The place is well preserved and neat to go see. The drive around the area is beautiful and always enjoyable. I would recommend going in the fall. Daniel Boone led a very intersting life and you can enjoy the being outside and learing a little history.

Here you can see museum pieces like furniture in a special guided tour. There is also a movie as part of the tour that they filmed at the home. The four-story home was hand-built with limestone and black walnut by the Boone family over seven years. The house resembles Daniel's birthplace in Pennsylvania and other family residences in Devon, England. The house was home to Daniel, his wife Rebecca and their ten children. It's a beautiful home and very neat to see. They do special events in the fall and during Christmas.
