I come from a large family. I was raised to be a good and honest person, to be nonjudgmental and accepting of others. The Golden Rule is one of the most important philosophies of life for me. I'm not perfect and I don't expect anyone else to be.

I am a software developer and have been pretty nerdy my entire life. With a love of science fiction, games, and computers. I am a bit of a gamer (I use to play a lot, but haven't been playing much for the last year) and reader. I also enjoy and am passionate about music.

I experience a lot of senses in my life, mostly through touching things.
I love the smell of cooking. Especially working with spices and herbs. Dill, rosemary, basil, curry, saffron.

The smell of coffee makes me incredibly happy and content. I don't drink a lot of it, but I visit coffeeshops on a regular basis. Kaldi's, not Starbucks.

Oh yes, and one other thing - I make fantastic mix cd's.

I am 21 years old and quite aware of just how young I still am. I've had too many brushes with that great depression to take what time I have for granted. I currently live with my mother and sister, though hopefully that will change as I hate the idea of living off my parent.(even if I do pay rent) I enjoy music, books, and most movies. Most of all I enjoy talking, doesn't matter what about. I believe conversation is the quickest and best way to get to know somebody. I may sound like quite the extroverted go-getter but in truth Im really quite shy and slow to initiate anything, which has caused its own slew of problems in my social life.

I'm just a guy looking to meet interesting people. I'm tired of all of the shallow people I keep running into and would like to get more out of life and not be dragged down. With that said yeah, I live in St. Louis and have for most of my life. I was in Kirksville going to school for 4 years but just came back recently and I'm looking to make good friends and have a good time around here because although its not as bad as small town Kville was it can still get pretty dull and boring sometimes!!!

I don't spend much time watching TV. There really isn't much that's worth watching. I do love the older seasons (like 2 to 9 or so) of The Simpsons. After that, The Simpsons started getting very lame. It's unwatchable now.

I also love to watch MMA! UFC, Affliction, etc... I also enjoy video games now and then, but I'm not obsessed with them or anything.

Im not big on talking about myself, as matter of fact Im only filling one of these out because im curious.

I enjoy writing songs, poems, stories, and musical compositions. I am close with my family and would do anything for them and stand by them through thick and thin. Enjoy spending time with them and seeing all my little cousins or hanging out with my siblings. I have 9 tattoos and and my ears pierced, used to have my nipples pierced but took them out.

I don't like self-summaries. They lack a focal point and who knows what the person reading it wants to know. I like to cook (and I'm getting ok at it) and I really put a lot of effort into my relationships. I like for the girl that I date to feel special and secure, while not being too clingy.

I have a bachelor's degree and I'm eventually going to get a master's degree. Probably two, actually, one in communication and one in theatre. I'm certified to teach either subject at the high school level as well as English. Theatre is a passion of mine, I like to perform and I also like to direct. I've been trying to learn a little more of the technical side of things because, when I start teaching theatre, I'm going to have to know that stuff.

I'm also a big hockey fan. I like going to Blues games, but I'm a big fan of the San Jose Sharks which means that most of my friends don't like me in the winter. I also play. It's a good exercise and a constant challenge; that's probably why I like it.

Spending time with the girl I'm with is important, but it's ok if we can't see each other everyday. As long as she knows that I'm thinking about her and that she's thinking about me and we communicate in someway through the day, I'm happy.

Well, I grew up in St. Louis, but I absolutely love the country. I love the freedom and openess that it provides. I take any chance I get to go camping, on float trips, or to go fishing and hunting. When I can't get away, I still try to get my outdoor "fix" by getting on the golf course and leaving my phone in the car. I'm a big believer in work hard, play hard; and I also believe that everyone needs something to decompress and stay fresh. My friends and family are my support system and I like to believe they would say the same about me. I love to socialize, I feel comfortable no matter where I am. On that note, I have a small dog, named Vegas, who is a big pimp. He is a whopping 9lbs, but acts as if he were 200lbs. He is a big flirt just like me, but is also extremely loyal just like me. In fact, Loyal is the one word that should describe every relationship you have. Otherwise, whats the point? Someone who is loyal, will never lie to you, they will always be aware of where your coming from and will always be willing to sacrifice if need be. I am rambling, but its what I do. I've graduated in '08 from a terrible private college in downtown of lovely STL. Ignore all their advertisements on the media and don't believe all the hype associated to it. I was fortunate enough to locate a great job after a large gap from graduation. For the moment, I am acting like a sponge and accumulating as much as experience as possible before moving onto a new adventure.

I suppose most people would say they are not complicated, and I'm no different. What you see is what you get.

I'm for the most part easygoing, but have been known to be annoyingly outspoken about whatever life brings that I feel passionate about. I tend to be whimsical in that I may be focused on something fiercely, but lose interest just as quickly. I wear my feelings on my sleeve, make conscious efforts to be courteous to everyone, think family is of utmost importance, take my work very seriously, like to keep my life as casual as possible, am not very spontaneous but always up for a planned adventure, and always have my mp3 player within twenty steps of me.

The history and current culture of New York City fascinates me endlessly - reading and watching everything I can come across. While I don't get to travel near as much as I'd like, I have many vacations planned in my head.

Okay, I do want to clear some things up here! I'm not perfect in anyway, like some of you guys are making me out to be! I've been through a lot, I do have a past (don't worry, no criminal record here)but I have learned from that. I don't judge people based on their past, as I would hope you wouldn't judge me from mine. What I do judge on, is what and where you are trying to go in life, because if it's not compatiable with mine, it's just not going to work! I'm GETTING my life together, it's not fully there yet, and notice I said I'm getting and not TRYING. Trying is not an option, that means I may or may not and that is sooooo not the case here. Well I am a semi-stereotypical anime/computer geek, though I like to think I have many of the good/neutral traits and few of the bad hehe (wishful thinking I know). I'm pretty shy with people I don't know but get to know me and I am fairly outgoing and talkative. I go with the flow a lot of the time, not one to raise a fuss over what game is played at a LAN or such things. That's all I can think of really thats not covered in other sections, feel free to help me make this better by sending suggestions.

Ahead of time, sorry for the rambling! what is it that drives us to summerize ourselves in little boxes? when did this become the means to an end? is anyone else totally lost?
we advertise ourselves online for people to window shop for the perfect mate, friend, or whatever. what good does it do? at the end of the day no one can describe themselves in a way that is completely honest. we all see ourselves as what we wanna be rather than what we are, to one degree or another. it is false hope, contributing to the idea that everyone will have a happy ending. but i will let you in on a little secret......there is no such thing as happy endings. the idea that one could be happy about something ending makes no sense. i spent so much time trying to figure this out, and it finally hit me. before you can be happy with someone you have to be happy with yourself. believe me when i tell you this is no easy task, especially when most of your life has seemed to revolve around making others unhappy. whether it be intentional or not. i found a higher power that exsists inside an idea, not a book. live in the moment and for the moment, because everything ends. no matter how hard you try to keep it from ending it will end. once this is realized there is so much freedom one can find in happy moments, rather than happy endings.

I am a American Solider I joined the army over a month ago and I leave July 7th and go to fort benning Georgia for at least two months then i may get to come back for a couple day or how ever long they let me and then i go to where ever im going to be stationed. I also a very active guy, I love sports and can't live with out them. I have a very toned athletic body that I keep fit by working out every other day. Besides my love of sports I love animals and I can't live with out them. I also love to have a good time with friends and meet new people. I am a very laid back kind of guy. There is this drop dead gorgeous girl i know that is just super awesome. Besides sports when I have nothing to do I usually just sit at home and mess around on my computer and play with my two puppies. On the weekends I either go out with my parents to our yacht and hang out there for the weekend and party on the beach/sand bar with some friends I know from up there. I just finished my degree in May 2009 at Southeast Missouri St, finishing with a degree in General Studies and minoring in Business Administration. After hundreds of applications and interviews, I landed a job and work in the Chesterfield area and live in Ballwin.

I love watching movies, especially mob realted ones like Godfather or Goodfellas. My music selection is all over the place, a sample Playlist would be: Godsmack, Metallica, Daughtry, Frank Sinatra, Classical, then some country. So I listen to just about anything.

I'm quiet, seriously quiet. I hate making noise for the sake of noise. If I have something to say, then I'll talk. Otherwise, I'll just stay there, quiet. I'm the opposite when it comes to descriptions/instructions. I can take something so simple, and make it on par with War and Peace. I'm terrible at simplicity.

I currently work nights at UPS. Been there six years, and will probably be there for some time more. So, I don't get many free nights on the town, but the schedule is pretty constant. I go in the same time every night, but leave whenever the group gets done. It's actually intensive and exciting. Plus, early morning shopping rocks. Grocery stores are always empty of customers.

I live with a roommate and two cats. I'm not really a cat person, I'm more of a dog person, but I don't hate them. I'm terribly allergic to them, but the medication i have now seems to be working well enough (if I remember to take it). I have a seven year old black lab, that lives with my parents. I really didn't want to bring him into the small apartment with two cats, and my parents spoiled him anyway. But he's still my boy, and I miss him every now and then.

I am kind of a nerd. I do play video games now and then, and used to play D&D and Magic The Gathering when I was in my teens. But, I don't spend all my time talking, eating or sleeping it. I still like to throwdown the occasional Munchkin or Catan game. To finish it off, I have a Warhammer Fantasy army that I began to paint a year ago...

I'm camera evasive. I'm not the type of person who'll put their hand up when you want to take a picture. But, if I see a camera, I'll tend to not hang around. I do suck it up during family events, holidays and the such, but I just hate getting my picture taken overall.

My car radio is generally on 88.1, which is an awesome station. Every two or three hours, the station shifts genres. It's great, because they also play stuff that's usually not heard on commercial radio. But, some hours are kinda meh and I switch to 103.3. I grew up on the oldies station, and I get depressed anytime I hear Love Shack.

It took me at least a week to come up with a screen name. I mean there are a million options and each one of them will give you a snapshot into someoneâ??s interpretation of who they are and why they have come here, right? I thought about referencing some song â?? â??gropeforlunaâ?? or â??devilbunnyâ?? â?? but they both emphasize the sex and naughtiness too much. As do â??hedonismbot,â?? or any number of Heinlein references. Then I thought about philosophical and mythological options: â??Zarathustra,â?? â??Dionysus,â?? â??pomohomoâ??â?¦but they all seem to just focus on facets of my personality and donâ??t properly express who I am. Thatâ??s not saying that JAlfredPrufrack is perfect but it does get some of it.

I am an introspective, honest, authentic, and ethical man. I try to live the best life I can. I try to be nice and open and honest with everyone I meet. I abhor dishonesty...mainly because I can't live with the smallest of lies (I feel like "The Tale-Tell heart"). I think that life might be easier than most people make it out to be, if we can just be honest with ourselves (and those with whom we interact) about our desires. I think challenges are fun. I think life is worth living artfully.

I'm 27 working in finance here in St. Louis. I like to go out on the weekends, enjoy movies, and dining out. I am pretty close to my family, we get together pretty regular. In the process of buying my first house now.

I keep active and enjoy working out. I always have some "project" I'm working on, but I like to chill out and enjoy life as well. I like outdoors stuff as well when I get the chance.
